You are invited to lie down or sit for the session. Please bring a yoga mat, a pillow & a warm blanket for your comfort. nb: some people like to bring sun loungers, sheepskins, sleeping bags, dressing gowns & hot water bottles for extra cosiness! A deep immersion into the vibrations of singing bowls, drums, bass clarinet, voices, chimes and much more. Cydnei & Catherine (aka ‘her&her’) invite you to get comfortable and close your eyes and guide you on an improvised musical journey, to explore and encourage healing. Showering you with sound, the nourishment and self-care will leave you feeling nurtured, refreshed and ready to face the world again.

There are six Sound Spa dates scheduled into the festival programme. One session will work wonders, and multiple attendances will deepen the relaxation benefits!

Exploring 7 Glorious Chakras | A Day of Yoga and Healing Sound

Throughout the day we will be opening up and activating the chakras through the practise of asana, pranayama and meditation...in a truly magical setting. Focussing on all elements of the 7 chakras: mooladhara, swadisthana, manipura, anahata, vishuddhi, ajna and sahasrara, we will activate each chakra’s individual and group characteristic, enticing the flow of energy up and down shushumna nadi for the final session of the day you will be invited to lie down in shavasana to relax, as 'her & her' (Cydnei & Catherine) perform a ‘chakra sound spa’ that will take the transformation of yoga flow and chakra work onto another level. the deep immersion into the vibrations of singing bowls, drums, bass clarinet, voices, chimes and much more will leave you feeling nurtured and refreshed…ready to face the world again.

9.45: Arrive to settle
10.00 - 1200: Yoga session
12.00 - 13.30:  Lunch and a snooze/walk/potter
13.30 - 15.00:  Yoga session
15.00 - 15.30:  Tea break
15.30 - 16.15:  Yoga and meditation
16.15 - 16.30: Break (settle in barn for next session)
16.30 - 17.45:  her & her Sound Spa
18.00:   Home time

Yoga sessions are to take place outside beside the mill pond, unless the weather is less clement than we hope for - in this case we will run the sessions in the amazing straw bale barn.

What to bring:

  • Two yoga mats (the barn has a hard floor!)
  • Duvet
